Dry Roses and Diary

Cherie Harbridge Williams

Dry Plants

Hello!

Let me introduce the author. She grew up in Lima, Ohio in the ‘50s. After she married and had two children, her husband’s work took them to different locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana before landing in Central Florida in 1979.

During her thirty-eight years in Florida, Cherie worked in the business sector, most notably as a resort manager in the tourist district. She held that position for ten years until major surgery forced a slow recovery. After leaving the resort, she and her husband ran a photography business until his untimely death. After that, her life took a turn, and she worked on the staff of several churches. Seven years later, she remarried.

She and her husband moved to Virginia in 2017.  Currently, they enjoy living in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Lynchburg.  They share a wide-ranging family in the U.S. and Canada.

Various hobbies and interests have kept her busy over the years. She was a church organist for decades, loved camping and boating, and even had a go at cheese-making. Some of their happiest times were in the pontoon boat between Lake Kissimmee and Lake Okeechobee, photographing alligators. She loves traveling, and of course, writing.

She began her writing career in 2020. At this stage of her life, she doesn’t want to waste the time she has left. Whatever she can do to point people to Biblical truths, that’s what she wants to do. With God’s grace, writing seems to be the perfect vehicle.
