It's a Party!

First of all, a warm welcome to those of you who’ve recently subscribed. I’m so glad you’re here.

The countdown is on for the release of The Paper Balloon, and I’d love to celebrate with you in person.

Launch Party

📍 331 N. Church Street, Bowling Green, Ohio (Park in the Municipal Parking Lot across the street.)

📅 Sunday, March 15

⏰ 1:30 p.m. (and yes, come late if you need to—we’ll still be there!)

We’ll gather on the covered back porch, eat pizza, and enjoy the kind of easy conversation that happens when book lovers find each other. You can meet the author (that’s me), connect with fellow readers of Christian historical fiction, and—this is especially fun—meet several great-nieces and nephews of the novel’s heroine. There’s something special about seeing history ripple into the present.

The tag line says it all:

“They became dear, devoted friends who wouldn’t have recognized one another if they passed on the sidewalk.”

The story is inspired by a 1913 news article from the Lima (Ohio) Morning Star. It follows Marie Dalton and Sgt. Herbert Marcus—two lives that intersect in an unexpected way. We begin with Herbert’s adventurous background, then, in chapter six, Marie steps onto the page. From there, their story unfolds in ways that surprised even me as I wrote it.

If you can’t make it to Bowling Green, you won’t miss out. The paperback will be available on Amazon and on my website, www.CherieHarbridgeWilliams.com. If you prefer eBooks, you can pre-order now on Amazon, and it will arrive in your inbox on March 15.

If you’re planning to join us, please reply and let me know how many will be in your group so we can order plenty of pizza.

I hope to see you there—it wouldn’t be the same without you.
